The vineyards are cultivated in hilly areas, at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters, on \u003cstrong\u003elimestone matrix soils\u003c\/strong\u003e. The vines have an average age of about 20 years and are trained by Guyot, with a density of about 4500 vines per hectare. After manual harvesting, which usually takes place in the second half of September, fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25-26 °C, with maceration on the skins for 6-8 days. The wine matures in steel or cement for several months and is bottled around April or May of the year following the harvest.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003ePelaverga di Verduno \"Speziale\" produced by Cantina Fratelli Alessandria represents a real gem in the panorama of Piedmontese wines.
