Aglianico del Vulture 'Gricos' Grifalco della Lucania 2020

Aglianico Gricos is the key product for Grifalco della Lucania, a little winemaking jewel based on 14 hectares among the countryside areas of Venosa, Ginestra e Maschito, founded by Fabrizio Piccin e Cecilia Naldoni, two vignerons from Montepulciano, Tuscany, with a strong passion for the famous autoctonous variety from Basilicata. The choice to produce here took placein recent times, restoring the vineyards and the cellar from 1997 to 2003. The consecration soon arrived, seen the ability of Grifalco to mantain an extremely high average level of the products, with labels aimed at the most pure expression of the genuineness of Aglianico. The new cellar was built following the principles of bioarchitecture, which made possibile to save energy in production and to restrain the environmental impact. The vineyards, instead, are 100% cultivated with certified organic farming, and made to obtain the right different cuts after the separate vinification of the grapes, having different harvesting periods. A very careful understanding of the production allow to use, in the fermentation phase, just indigenous yeasts, able to express in a unique way the original terroir, whereas every fertilization or weeding doesn't admit any type of chemicals.
