The Carricante "Eruzione 1614" by Planeta comes from an area rich of history; we are in the hills surrounding the famous village of Passopisciaro, on the slopes of Etna, in an area of great charm, dominated and influenced by the highest volcano of Italy. And it’s here that Planeta founded his own project, which gave birth to the line "Eruzione 1614", which sought to transfer the image a modern historical event in Sicily: the eruption of Etna in 1614, a memorable event , legendary, during about 10 year; the longest eruption of all time which stopped just at the border where we now have the vineyards of Sciara Nuova. Vineyards are situated 870 meters above sea level and that, due to significant difference in temperature between the hot and dry days and cool and windy night, giving rise to clusters rich in flavor and freshness; soil, rich black soil, completes the picture of this wine with flavor and minerality. The Carricante "Eruzione 1614" by Planeta, is a beautiful white wine of Etna, gentle and deep scents that bring out the white flowers and fresh citrus notes. The taste is very dynamic and agile and impresses with its minerality, the result of a perfect synthesis of the territory from which it comes.
