The Grignolino d'Asti by Cascina Tavijn is another masterpiece of Nadia Verrua, the architect of the success of Cascina Tavijn, a beautiful reality that arises between Asti and Casale Monferrato; in an area of great spread of Grignolino, an area that can easily be defined as the cradle of this vine too often forgotten or trivialized. The family Verrua vine-growing and wine from their own grapes since 1908 and Nadia today represents the fourth generation of winemakers. A family history of Monferrato that would restore lifeblood in this area, enhancing it with full respect for the land and nature. The Grignolino d'Asti by Cascina Tavijn born on one hectare of vineyards located in Mezzena and Scurzolengo, on rich soils of sand and sandstone and follows the philosophy of production of the family Verrua; a production philosophy based on respect for nature and the life cycle of the vineyards followed by a long maceration and fermentation without the help of selected yeasts. The result is a wine absolutely simple, light and fresh, with a strong territorial and a strong reminder of the traditions.
