Merlot 'Montiano' Falesco 2012

Montiano is a top wine of the Falesco’s winery selection: it is the result of the passion and the effort of this family company, that has been producing it for twenty years. Located in the north of Lazio, in Montefiascone, Falesco winery always believed in the development of a territory which, over the centuries, has given its better wines for papal courts and Roman nobility. Acclaimed as one of the most innovative red wines among Italy, Montiano is a smooth and mellow Merlot, full of flavors and aromatic variations. It seems that this Merlot has found in the lands of high Lazio, originally cultivated with white vines, its ideal habitat. The grapes are harvested in an advanced state of maturation, then the long maceration on the peels and the aging in French oak barrels for 12 months generated a deep and balanced red wine. Montiano is also characterized by smoothness and minerals scents. In the glass it shines as gleaming ruby, it smells sweet and fruity, in mouth it is elegant and refined, with a touch of wood and spices.
