The Paleo Rosso by Le Macchiole is the best wine among all the other that expresses the corporate character of the Tuscan winery: very thick, has a wine vertical and closes with intriguing notes of flint. Manufactured by one of the most important wineries not only of Tuscany, but of all Italy, Paleo Rosso is for Cinzia Merli, now at the helm, the wine that best represents it. The Macchiole is the dream of a man, tenacious and courageous, who in the mid ‘80 he realized the great potential that this region of Tuscany had. Unfortunately, Eugenio, husband of Cinzia, died in 2002, but his dream has been doggedly pursued by Cinzia, which has never ceased to experiment, innovate and amaze. Today all the labels, even this beautiful Paleo Rosso, have an extraordinary energy and strength, and serve in an original way, the decision to focus on the direct expression of monovines, giving up easier, but perhaps a bit more impersonal direction of assembly.
