The Ruanera by La Barbatella born in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Nizza Monferrato, a small winery that in recent years has gained a prominent place in viticulture and Italian Piedmont before then. In view of red wines produced from La Barbatella, the Ruanera is what most impressed us with intensity, structure and, above all, for quality/price ratio. An elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera born on vineyards of almost thirty years, implanted in these beautiful vineyards between 1987 and 1995. We are 220 meters above sea level, on vineyards exposed to South, Southeast, on soils rich in limestone and tending to sandy. Lorenzo, the author of this little masterpiece, from different vintages gives us unique wines, as this Ruanera that comes from a manual harvested in the second half of September for the Barbera and the first half of October for Cabernet Sauvignon; separate vinification, with maceration on the skins for 7-8 days and a sharpening steel exclusively to preserve the characteristics of the two varieties. Thus a red Monferrato that shows itself in all its red-purple, with nuances of cherry, blackberry and plum, with a finish reminiscent of the leather and pepper.
