Trento Spumante Brut Riserva 'Methius' Dorigati 2009

The Spumante Brut Reserve Methius of Dorigati cellar is created by the union of grapes grown on one of the best terroirs owned by the winery: on the hilly area of Faedo and Pressano. In a corner of the Rotaliana Plain on Mount Mezzocorona’s slopes the family Dorigati cultivates his vineyard, today as five generations ago, when he began the story of the wine reality. The only difference between that time and today, is that now the winery is run by two cousins, along with their fathers. Simultaneously to this reality, in 1986 it develops the Methius, a company created by Carlo (one of owner of the winery) together with Sandro Paternoster, winemaker and dear friend of him, which produces this remarkable sparkling wine. The footprint of the enologist and the professional experience of Dorigati winery, is perceived in every single drop of Methius Spumante Brut, as well as many terroir’s hints where the of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes gently ripen. The desire to create a sparkling wine that was able to express, with its perlage all the notes of the landscape created by Dolomite’s soils is evidenced by the name Methius. This is a local toponym, already present when the Celts inhabited this ancient region of northern Italy.
